International subsea equipment specialist Ashtead Technology has bought ACE Winches, it said November 30. The deal further expands its mechanical solutions service offering in the offshore oil, gas and wind sectors.
Ashtead CEO Allan Pirie (below left) said: “We are delighted to announce this strategic acquisition and welcome the ACE Winches team to Ashtead Technology.”
Alfie Cheyne (below right), founder and chairman of ACE Winches, which was set up 1992, said: “Becoming part of Ashtead Technology will enable us to expand our existing capabilities and international footprint in key regions including the US and the Middle East where Ashtead Technology has an established local presence.”
