TAQA’s Well Completions is a division in the TAQA Group, which specializes in advanced completion technologies, production optimization solutions, and sand management within the energy sector for oil and gas and renewables. We have a rich history of enhancing reservoir productivity across both onshore and offshore settings.

Membership grants access to a strong network of industry leaders, exclusive events, and market intelligence, helping us stay ahead of industry trends. OEUK also supports workforce development, sustainability initiatives, and supply chain connections, enhancing our ability to innovate and deliver efficient, reliable, and environmentally responsible well completion solutions.


Have you participated in any recent OEUK events? Which events are you looking forward to this year?

I was lucky to attend the 2024 end of year OEUK event, it was an excellent network experience. This is year our company is excited to be more involved and will be aiming to attend more online and in-person events as part of the group events for Operations, Stakeholder & Communications, Supply chain and Sustainability.


OEUK has over fourteen Forums, which forums do you attend and what do you like most about them in particular?

TAQA Well Completions are delighted to be part of OEUK, as the forums are a great opportunity for us to network with our industrial peers and potential clients to knowledge share. Particular interest in Operations (Decommissioning and Well Forums), Stakeholder & Communications (Government Relation Forum), Supply chain (Knowledge Sharing and Continuous Improvement Network) and Sustainability (Energy Transition Forum, CCUS and Energy Market Regulation Forum).

Future of industry

What notable changes towards achieving net-zero emissions have you observed in our industry in recent years?

It is great to see the industry evolving and advancing toward net-zero emissions through lower-emission completion fluids, intelligent completions, and real-time data analytics that enhance efficiency while reducing environmental impact. CCUS technologies are increasingly used to cut emissions and boost sequestration, while sustainable materials and eco-friendly sourcing minimize environmental footprints. Stronger collaboration among operators, regulators, and technology providers is also accelerating best practices and standards. These efforts collectively drive more sustainable well completions, reinforcing TAQA’s commitment to net-zero goals.


How is your company contributing to the industry’s transition to a net-zero future?

TAQA Well Completions, support the industry’s Net Zero transition with innovative, efficient, and sustainable well completion technologies. How do you see the industry looking in 20 years?

Great innovation and advancement over the next 20 years, the well completion industry will be highly automated, digitally integrated, and driven by sustainability. Further advancement in ML and AI, real-time data analytics, and autonomous operations will optimise well performance while minimizing environmental impact. Electrification and renewable energy will be increased with the emphasis in replacing conventional power sources, significantly reducing emissions. Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) will be standard practice, with wells designed for carbon sequestration alongside production. Sustainable materials and circular economy principles will define supply chains, ensuring minimal waste and environmental impact. Regulatory frameworks will be stricter, fostering deeper collaboration between operators, technology providers, and policymakers to achieve full net-zero compliance. TAQA Well Completion envisions a future where innovation and sustainability are seamlessly integrated, leading to safer, cleaner, and more efficient operations.
