As Scotland continues to establish itself as a leading AI nation, Hypercube is proving the future of artificial intelligence doesn’t have to look like Silicon Valley.
Despite women making up only around one in five AI professionals nationally, Aberdeen & Glasgow-based AI company Hypercube has revealed that its AI and Product team is made up entirely of women. Women also represent 54% of the company’s overall workforce.
The story is particularly interesting because Hypercube develops AI exclusively for the energy sector, sitting at the intersection of two industries where women remain significantly underrepresented. Nationally, women account for around 29% of the UK technology workforce and 29% of the energy workforce.
