Privately-owned Neptune Energy will give $2mn to support humanitarian efforts to aid the people of Ukraine, it said March 14. The money will go equally to the International Committee of the Red Cross and the International Rescue Committee.
The company has also asked companies it works with to confirm any interests they may have in Russia and what steps they are taking to end any support for the Russian state.
Neptune, operator of the Cygnus field (left, courtesy Neptune) has also put in place a scheme to match donations made by its employees across the world, which has raised more than $40,000 to date.
Neptune does not have any assets or employees in either Russia or Ukraine but it is supporting those with family who have been impacted. For more information, please see here.
