Offshore contractors urged to sign up to new industry liability allocation scheme

14 December 2021

Companies who regularly work offshore on projects undertaken by multiple contractors are being urged to sign up to the industry’s new Industry Mutual Hold Harmless (IMHH) scheme by December 17 as the current scheme will expire on 31 December this year.

LOGIC, OGUK’s not-for-profit wholly owned subsidiary operates the IMHH scheme, to help companies and sub-contractors to manage the allocation of liabilities within an agreed standard framework.

Dr Daniel Brown, Managing Director of LOGIC said:

“LOGIC operates the IMHH scheme as one of several key services the offshore industry can use to increase the efficiency of working practices. We encourage companies to register now so they have appropriate arrangements in place for IMHH 2022 which commences on 1 January 2022 and lasts until the end of 2031.”

In addition to the IMHH scheme, LOGIC also operates as the custodian of a suite of cross-industry projects that aim to increase the efficiency of working practices in the UK North Sea, including SEQual for pre-qualification processes, VantagePOB for helicopter travel and Standard Contracts.

Registrations for IMHH 2022 are now open. Completed registration packs must be returned to LOGIC by the deadline of 17th December for processing before the end of the year. Visit www.logic-oil.com to find out more, and to register. All queries should be addressed to [email protected]
