We at OGUK would like to pay tribute to Ithaca Energy CEO and former OGUK board member Bill Dunnett, who recently passed away.
Bill Dunnett was a well-known and respected figure in oil and gas, having spent more than 35 years working across our industry in various positions, including at Petrofac, Halliburton, and Shell. He assumed the role of Ithaca Energy chief executive in 2020, following five years as CEO of Repsol Sinopec Resources UK.
Bill also served on the boards of OGUK and The Oil and Gas Technology Centre (now NZTC).
OGUK CEO Deirdre Michie said: “Bill was a great champion and leader of our industry, including serving as a board member for OGUK. We are all so sorry to hear about his sad and untimely passing and our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues at this most difficult of times.”
Bill’s family have welcomed donations in his name to The Grampian Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre, in support of a new oxygen therapy treatment centre in Aberdeen. You can find out more and donate at grampianms.org/
