Key information about the pipeline of confirmed projects across the offshore energy sector will be communicated at Offshore Energies UK’s Share Fair this Spring. Supported by the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA), Share Fair connects buyers with supply chain companies looking for business opportunities and will take place on March 19 at P&J Live, Aberdeen.
Share Fair is the sector’s premier business development event. It gives energy supply chain companies detailed insight of tendering opportunities and in-person meetings with potential customers and decision-makers. While illuminating opportunities for suppliers, Share Fair enables contract and procurement teams to broaden their knowledge of the expertise, innovative technology and specialised services offered by supply chain companies that support offshore energies including oil and gas, offshore wind, hydrogen, geothermal, plus carbon capture and storage.
Katy Heidenreich, OEUK’s Supply Chain and People Director, said:
“The UK has built a world-class supply chain capable of building a sustainable energy future. Enabling these companies to continue investing here is essential both to the long-term economic health of our country and to the planet. Share Fair provides businesses with advance market intelligence on confirmed energy projects to help them secure crucial investment, plan more effectively to increase capacity, and recruit the skilled people required to support the UK pipeline of work.”
Bill Cattanach, Head of Supply Chain at the NSTA, said:
“Share Fair is always one of the highlights in the calendar for the supply chain. It is an unmissable opportunity to get a foot in the door with operators, showcase your company’s capabilities and learn about exciting contracting opportunities for a range of energy production and decarbonisation projects. I’d urge all service companies to reserve their places early – and avoid fear of missing out.”
David Hutton, Reed & Mackay Senior Manager Strategy & Consulting comments:
“As a corporate travel and events management company working within the energy and marine sector, attending Share Fair 2024 was a very important event for us. The event’s 1-2-1 meeting format, offering four pre-scheduled, well-targeted 15-minute appointments, was a useful and efficient way to connect with key industry players across a wide spectrum of energy sectors.
“One of those initial conversations led to us successfully winning work with a key major operator, which confirms the unique opportunities this supply chain event provides. This year, we’re thrilled to attend both as delegates and as an exhibitor, because Share Fair attracts the right audience for us. It’s become an essential event for our business growth and networking.”
The Share Fair format comprises presentations from operators, developers and contractors on future projects, one-to-one meetings with key decision makers procuring goods and services plus extensive opportunities for suppliers to network with industry peers and book exhibition space.
The event takes place in Aberdeen’s P&J Live on March 19 and more information about bookings is available on the website here
