Campaigns and Content Adviser

London or Aberdeen

Do you enjoy creating digital content, spotting what will engage an audience and finding new ways to tell a story?

We’re looking for a Campaigns and Content Adviser to help bring OEUK’s work, our members and the offshore energy sector to life through engaging social media and digital content.

Working closely with the Head of Campaigns and Content and colleagues across Communications, External Affairs and Marketing, you’ll manage OEUK’s day-to-day social media content and help develop and deliver creative campaigns across multiple channels.

This is a hands-on role where you can build your experience across social media, video, copywriting, digital campaigns and content creation, while bringing your own ideas and developing your skills within an experienced Corporate Affairs team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Create and manage engaging content across OEUK’s social media and digital channels, adapting it for different audiences and platforms.
  • Turn campaign objectives and key messages into creative content, including copy, short-form video, reels, graphics and other digital assets.
  • Film and edit content including interviews, events, behind-the-scenes footage and campaign activity.
  • Support paid and organic social media campaigns, from creative development and targeting through to monitoring performance.
  • Work with colleagues and external partners to coordinate content, filming, photography and design requirements.
  • Use analytics and audience insights to understand what works and help improve future content and campaigns.
  • Keep up to date with digital trends, platforms and formats, bringing relevant new ideas to the team.
  • Ensure content is accurate, accessible, inclusive, on-brand and delivered to agreed deadlines.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with practical experience of creating digital and social media content who is ready to develop their skills and take on greater responsibility.

You’ll bring:

  • Practical experience creating engaging social media and digital content, including short-form video.
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and channels.
  • Experience filming and editing video content using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with creative tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud or similar software.
  • A good understanding of key social media platforms and how content contributes to wider campaign objectives.
  • Creativity, good judgement and attention to detail when producing public-facing content.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and deliver work to deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach, willingness to learn and confidence contributing ideas and responding to feedback.
  • An interest in current affairs and the political, policy and media environment.

Experience of paid social media, Meta Business Suite, digital analytics, public-facing campaigns or the energy sector would be beneficial but isn’t essential.

You’re comfortable getting hands-on, whether you’re writing copy, filming an interview, editing a short video or helping bring a campaign idea to life. You take responsibility for your work, pay attention to detail and know when to seek guidance.

You enjoy collaborating with others, are open to feedback and are curious about new digital trends and ways of communicating. You’ll also be interested in developing your understanding of OEUK, our members and the offshore energy sector.

What You’ll Gain

You’ll develop practical experience across social media, campaigns, video production, copywriting and digital content, working alongside experienced colleagues across Corporate Affairs.

You’ll have opportunities to bring forward ideas, experiment with different content formats and learn from audience and campaign performance, while building your knowledge of the UK’s offshore energy industry.
