Sparrows Group has reinforced its North Sea business with contract renewals worth an estimated £30 million in revenue in the first quarter of 2019.
The one- and five-year agreements with two long-standing major operators on the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) cover the provision of crane management services for 73 cranes situated on manned and normally unmanned installations in both the north and southern North Sea. Sparrows will deliver a combination of preventive and corrective maintenance including condition monitoring; inspection, testing and certification; crane operators; rigging equipment management; mechanical handling and engineering support; and a deck operations safety coaching programme.
